Fruitful launch of Manchester Wine School

We’re delighted to be working with the Wine School Group on the launch of its third franchise, the Manchester Wine School.

Manchester Wine School will be opening its doors in January 2010 to offer anything from a two-hour evening tasting, through to an all day introductory session with lunch - perfect for those who enjoy a tipple and would love to learn more. There will also be ten-week courses available which will focus on wines from around the world in more depth.

We’ve been busy launching the school in the Manchester press, organising features, competitions and generating media coverage to maximise awareness of the very first wine school in Manchester.

The wine school franchise, founded by Chris Powell, is continuing to grow rapidly, with the West London Wine School planned to launch in 2010. Further plans are also being made for schools in Leeds and Edinburgh.

Well done again Chris.

Toon stars strike lucky at Namco!

As part of our launch campaign for the brand new Namco complex in the Metrocentre, we organised for the famous Peter Beardsley and the Newcastle Vipers to come down and see Namco for themselves.

The Vipers and Peter Beardsley’s Academy team were bowled over by Namco Funscape when they attended the exciting sneak preview of the new entertainment complex in the newly refurbished Yellow Qube in the Metro centre.

The new entertainment complex which is now open to the public saw the two Newcastle teams score strike after strike before challenging their driving skills on Europe’s fastest dodgems track which are capable of reaching speeds up to 30mph!

Namco is great for people of all ages and can offer so much for all the family. Toon Legend Peter Beardsley said: “It’s a brilliant facility. I used to come here when it was MetroLand and it has much improved. It’s great for team bonding.” The academy team had lots of fun on the dodgems and they admit that it is definitely going to give other entertainment complexes a run for their money!

Namco Funscape boasts 18 bowling lanes, a massive children’s soft play area, arcade games and many more fun activities for you to enjoy, including the relaxed bar area so it’s a perfect way to wind down after a busy day with a couple of drinks and a few games of pool.

Tommy Nasser the manager of Funscape said: “We just want to bring the fun back to the North East and I believe it’s been missing since MetroLand closed!”

The doors are now open for everyone to enjoy the fun that the bright and colourful Namco has to offer! So come down to Namco Funscape and drop the kids off in the soft play whilst you enjoy a few games of bowling!
